IAN L. RAKOFF

Er arbeitete als schnittassistent u.a. an Lindsay Andersons IF...

IAN L. RAKOFF

Born in the South African Republic. Rakoff worked as assistant editor (among other films) on Lindsay Anderson's IF... (1968) and John Boorman's DELIVERANCE (1972).

He was involved in the production of THE PRISONER episodes "It's Your Funeral" and "The General". When the production of THE PRISONER was cancelled prematurely for reasons of time and money ideas for the remaining four episodes to be produced were sought after within the film crew. Rakoff supplied a story which would eventually be realised as the episode "Living In Harmony". However, it's co-producer David Tomblin who received the credits as author and director. Rakoff is also a politically experienced contemporary author who wrote the book "Inside The Prisoner" (1999) in which he published his critical observations of the film and TV business - not just about THE PRISONER.

He was a guest of honour during SIX OF ONE founder Dave Barrie's 1999 PRISONER seminar where he spoke in an extensive interview.
